Hey Fam,
This Friday, KnonyeKouture brings to you her first #Ankaraflirty trumpetskirt.
I absolutely love wearing skirts…there’s such a touch of femininity
about them. Trumpet skirts seem to
exude an air of sophistication.
The trumpet skirt is the kind of piece that can
take you easily from the office to cocktail hour, and my favorite part, it
makes your butt look great. The skirt can help build up your rear view when
it’s on the flatter side.
A trumpet hem is so named because the swingy hem bears a
resemblance to the shape of the musical instrument after which it is called.
Trumpet skirts, also called Mermaid skirts, are fitted through the hips
and thighs and flare at the bottom and are incredibly flattering on all body types.
Here's why: The volume at the hem is a nice
balance to your shoulders (especially if you're a bold-shouldered gurl), and
the body-skimming shape at the waist and thigh is offset by the movement at the
bottom of the skirt.
How to Wear It:
The
top—whether it's off-the-shoulder or more fitted—needs to come in at the waist.
Nothing should be loose or untucked.
This is how i wore my ankara trumpet skirt:
Denim Top: Emoda
Skirt: KnonyeKouture
Sandals: Steve Madden
Bag: Wewe
Neckpiece: Opia
